Biopic on the Clash's 'London Calling' in the Works
Former Clash members Mick Jones and Paul Rosetta Stone software Simonon will co-executive produce a new biopic about the making of the bands classic 1979 album London Calling, the BBC reported Wednesday. The script will be written by playwright Jez Butterworth and produced by Alison Owen (singer Lily Allens mom) and Paul Trijbits. London Rosetta Stone Chinese Calling, Number 8 on Rosta Stones 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, has already been the subject of a documentary included with the 2004 Legacy Edition of the LP.
